He is Board Certified in four disciplines. As a member of McLeod Health’s management team he felt he needed an MBA, so he went to the USC Business School and earned it. Rick needed a computer, so he built his own. He has been nationally recognized for his work with TB patients. Rick is seen here with Governor Nikki Haley.
Rick is responsible for McLeod Health’s “clinical decision support system” which silently monitors many medical and pharmaceutical decisions. This is an element of safety improvement in an increasingly complex health care environment. McLeod Health is one of the safest hospitals in South Carolina.
